PARA Pools

Bobby Miller Center Pool

Outdoor pools are open seasonally, from May through August.   Seasonal daily admission is $5 per person or memberships may be purchased.  All outdoor pools  also offer daily twilight rates of $3 per person beginning at 4 p.m. 
 
Indoor pools are open year-round and admission is included in a center membership or may be accessed on a per-visit basis for a $4 casual user fee. 
 
All recreational pools allow rentals during open swim times  are available anytime during the week for indoor pools and on weekends for outdoor pools.  Rentals are available for birthday parties, business, church groups, and special events.  Please call 758-0419 for pricing.

Freeman Pool can be used year round. 
Private rentals for parties are available. 
 
Bowers Park Pool

Bowers Park Pool is an Olympic-sized pool with a baby wading area. It is open during the summer, generally following the city/county school calendar of mid-May through early August.

 Friday 3 pm - 6 pm
Saturdays 12 pm - 6 pm
Sundays 1 pm - 5 pm

Swim lessons conducted 8 - 11 am and 6 - 7:30 pm  Monday - Friday

Pool Memberships & Rental Rates
PARA offers 3 different outdoor pool membership plans

INDIVIDUAL PASS -  $80 per season
This pass allows one person to unlimited swim time during open swim at any outdoor pool. 
 
GENERAL FAMILY PASS -  $180 per season
This pass allows you and up to five (5) other family members unlimited swimming during open swim time at any outdoor pool.
       

 
Pool Rental
Bowers and Freeman Park pools and the recreational pool at the Miller Center are available for private rentals for birthday parties, churches, businesses, team parties and more.  Weekday and weekend rentals are available. Call PARA at (205) 562-3200 for more information or to check rental date availability.

**Guard cost included in rental rates.  There is a $100 deposit required for all pool rentals.  Deposits are forfeited when any deviation from guidelines/rules occur.  All monies will be receipted and deposited.  Deposit amount will be returned within 10 - 12 business days, provided that no deviation from guidelines/rules occurred.  Rental party assumes complete responsibility for damages and accidents occurring in the pool area during rental period.
