Volunteers are a vital and much appreciated aspect of the Tuscaloosa County Park & Recreation Authority. Many scheduled events, classes and athletic leagues sponsored by PARA could not take place without the assistance of volunters in the areas such as planning, coordination, facilitation, instruction and publicity. We are constantly recruiting and have a variety of volunteer options.
Some examples of PARA volunteer opportunities include:
coaching and organizing youth and adult sports
assisting with special events
serving as a leisure class instructor or therapeutic recreation program assistant
providing clerical/office assistance
serving as an advisory committee member
